Hyundai has launched a 10,000-a year vehicle capacity assembly plant in Addis Ababa.

The assembly plant will specialize in hatchback cars and will serve the Eastern African region.

“This plant is big enough to assemble vehicles for Kenya, Ethiopia, Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea and Sudan,” Haile Gebrselassie, the former athlete-turned businessman who has partnered with the South Korean company in the venture.
