Boda boda operators in Nairobi took to the streets over alleged extortion by inspectorate officers.
“Despite paying the Sh3,000 monthly license fee, city askaris still demand money every time they arrest us,” Ken Onyango, United Boda Boda Association chairman said.
Onyango also urged Governor Mike Sonko to order the release of their impounded motorbikes and revoke the CBD ban.
They were pushed out of the city centre on January 23 after several robbery and burglary cases were reported.
