Mololine to offer free transport services within Nakuru County on voting day


Public service vehicle operator Mololine Services Limited has joined the list of personalities and corporate firms that will offer free transport during election day on Thursday.

Company chairman Njoroge Bumasu said at least ten hospitals in Nakuru County have been allocated one vehicle each to transport patients that doctors may allow to participate in the repeat polls.

Bumasu said the fourteen seater matatus will transport the patients from the respective hospitals to polling stations and back.

Valley, Evans, Nakuru level five, mediheal, Mercy mission, war memorial among other hospitals have been targeted.

The chairman pointed out the services will be available for those who will be voting within Nakuru County.

The vehicles will assemble at the main company check office at Milimani Nakuru for deployment tomorrow.

He said the initiative was inline with the clarion call by President Uhuru Kenyatta to Kenyans to turn out in large number for the repeat polls.

Members of the public have welcomed the move terming it an act of patriotism.

A similar initiative has been undertaken by three elected leaders in
Murang’a county.
